How can I use the internet to support my teaching and students’ learning?
I use domo in the morning to start the day. I make a new cartoon each day which goes along with the theme or skill for the day. Additionally blogs are a good way to write out thinking and process.
How can I ensure responsible and appropriate use of the internet?
Teach the children what to look for in a good website. Additionally sites such as safekids.org are great resources where children, parents and teachers can go to get information they need to learn about responsible usage. Also the center for missing and exploited children will send teachers a class set of pamphlets on cyber-bulling and internet safety.
